ITINERARY

• DAY ONE

Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Sidmouth and arriving late

afternoon at the Belmont Hotel. 2 nights stay – dinner, bed and breakfast.

• DAY TWO

Today is a free day at leisure to explore our base of Sidmouth. It was Sidmouth that

captivated the Poet Laureate, John Betjeman - and it will captivate you too.. A lovely

seaside town that nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley.

• DAY THREE

After breakfast, we depart the hotel and journey into Cornwall to Falmouth and our second hotel – The Royal Dutchy Hotel 2 nights – dinner, bed and breakfast. This afternoon enjoy free time to explore the cobbled streets and visit Falmouth’s charming mix of shops, from specialist outlets to well-known high-street names and art galleries. Try not to miss the chance to visit the National Maritime Museum. Alternatively, take the opportunity to relax and enjoy the leisure facilities at the hotel

• DAY FOUR

Today we visit the bustling city of Truro with its flowing rivers, picturesque streets with

18th and 19th century townhouses, and a magnificent cathedral that dominates the city.

The day is free to sightsee the city at leisure.

• DAY FIVE

After breakfast, we depart and begin our journey to North Devon on route we make a lunch time stop in the charming fishing village of Padstow. Home to a variety of shops. Padstow is also a popular foodie destination as the home to the fish restaurant of celebrity chef Rick Stein. Later we continue to Barnstaple and our third hotel – The Royal and Fortesque Hotel. 2 nights – dinner, bed and breakfast.

• DAY SIX

Today is free to visit Barnstable where it is market day. Enjoy time at leisure to browse the market and explore the town with its elegant Georgian buildings

• DAY SEVEN

After breakfast, we depart out hotel and begin our journey home with fond memories of our time in Devon and Cornwall.
