The Beaufort Park Hotel is situated near the market town of Mold and is an ideal base for our tour. You are assured of a warm and friendly welcome. The Scandinavian style reception and mezzanine lounge provide an oasis of peace to relax, read or enjoy a drink.
DAY ONE
Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Carmarthen and arriving late afternoon at Ivy Bush Royal Hotel.
4 nights stay – dinner, bed and breakfast. Harpist or pianist one night and one further night of entertainment.
• DAY TWO
This morning, we travel west to the popular holiday resort of Tenby. With the old town walls, interesting little side streets, and alleyways to explore as well as superb beaches, Tenby is the main holiday resort of Southwest Wales and is always a pleasant and friendly place to visit. We have time for lunch in Tenby before we are on our way to Picton Castle and Woodland Garden - regarded as Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home and gardens.
• DAY THREE
Today we have a leisurely breakfast and free time to explore Carmarthen.
• DAY FOUR
Today our excursion takes us to St Bride’s Bay and Newgale Sands to the magical place of St. Davids – the birthplace of the patron saint of Wales. St. Davids has a beautiful Cathedral, the smallest in Great Britain which is well worth a visit. From St. Davids, we head around the Preseli Mountains back to the hotel.
• DAY FIVE
After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey to North Wales
our second hotel - Beaufort Park Hotel, Mold. 3 nights – dinner, bed and breakfast.
We stop on the way for lunch, arriving in the afternoon at our second destination.
• DAY SIX
This morning, we make our way to Bodnant Garden. Located in Conwy Valley, this garden is a Grade 1 listed horticultural gem, home to botanical collections from around the globe. After our visit, we will make the short journey north to the seaside resort of Llandudno. The rest of the day is free for you to explore at leisure. Take a stroll along the wide promenade and enjoy the sea air or enjoy some retail therapy in the main shopping street which runs parallel with the sea front.
• DAY SEVEN
Today’s excursion takes us through some lovely Welsh scenery, including the spectacular Horseshoe Pass, to the Dee Valley. Here we join the Rheilfford Llangollen Railway for a journey on a nostalgic train from Carrogg to Llangollen.
We also take a ride on the ‘Stream in the Sky’- the Llangollen Canal - gliding gently along over the country’s biggest navigable viaduct.
• DAY EIGHT
After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
