DAY ONE
Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Kent and arrive late afternoon at the Bridgewood Manor Hotel. 4 nights stay - dinner, bed and breakfast. Tea/Coffee and biscuits on arrival.
DAY TWO
This morning, we enjoy a scenic drive through the Kent Downs to the coastal town of Broadstairs. The town lies above a harbour with cliffs on either side. It has seven bays of golden sand, which are (from south to north) Dumpton Gap, Louisa Bay, Viking Bay, Stone Bay, Joss Bay, Kingsgate Bay and Botany Bay. North Foreland rises between Stone Bay and Joss Bay. On the cliffs above Kingsgate Bay is Kingsgate Castle, formerly part of the estate of Lord Holland but now converted into private residences.
After our visit we journey to Whitstable. It has traditional charms, a strong arts culture and rich maritime history. Whitstable's main claim to fame is its oysters which remain an intrinsic part of this sea town's character and are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival.
DAY THREE
This morning, we visit the town of Rochester with its magnificent cathedral and historic castle. Take a stroll along High Street and explore the old town and cobbled streets. We have a chance to obtain lunch here before our afternoon visit to Leeds Castle.
Leeds Castle is set on two islands on the River Len and has been home to generations of lords and ladies for over 1,000 years. We are transported through around 900 years of the castle’s history – in a sumptuous mix of period architecture, impressive interiors, and family treasures.
DAY FOUR

After a leisurely breakfast, we journey the short distance to Chatham and the famous Historic Naval Dockyard. This is the filming location for the popular series Call the Midwife. We will enjoy a themed, guided tour including access to the impressive new Call the Midwife Exhibition. After our tour, you are free to explore the abundance of historic buildings dating from 1704, three warships, dry docks, the Royal Dockyard Museum and much more.
DAY FIVE
After breakfast, we leave and head for home.
