The Imperial Hotel is the most historic in Blackpool and is located on the North Promenade. This stunning Victorian Hotel has 180 modern bedrooms, and a lift. Each room is ensuite with television and tea/coffee facilities.

• DAY ONE Depart from your home area and travel to Blackpool, arriving late afternoon at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool. 4 nights stay – dinner, bed & breakfast.

• DAY TWO Enjoy a leisurely breakfast followed by a free day to explore and enjoy Blackpool. Take a ride on a tram along the seafront, explore the town centre or visit the Pleasure Beach. There is lots to see and do. This afternoon we enjoy a cream tea at the hotel.

• DAY THREE- CARNFORTH RAILWAY STATION, LANCASTER

Historical Significance: Carnforth Station was an important railway junction and is best known for its connection to the 1945 film Brief Encounter. Many of the movie’s scenes were shot there, and the station retains its period features. Heritage Centre: Opened in 2003 and staffed by volunteers, the Carnforth Station Heritage Centre offers exhibitions on the film, the station’s history, and local heritage. Cafe & Entertainment: The station’s café has been restored as The Refreshment Room to resemble the set used in Brief Encounter. It serves homemade food and beverages and hosts entertainment and special events. Micro Pub - The Snug: A tiny pub, opened in 2012, serving real ales, cider, wines, and soft drinks. It features in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

• DAY FOUR Southport- A fun-loving seaside town with attractions for EVERYONE, and an abundance of independent restaurants and bars making it a foodies’ haven, and full of culture. Whether it’s our historic Victorian architecture, Iron Pier OR shops there’s plenty on offer.

DAY FIVE - AFTER BREAKFAST WE BEGIN OUR JOURNEY HOME.
