• DAY ONE
Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Cambridge and arriving late afternoon at the Best Western Signature Collection Cambridge Hotel. 4 nights stay - dinner, bed and breakfast . Tea/coffee & biscuits on arrival.
• DAY TWO
This morning we are off to the famous University City of Cambridge. The city has many
fascinating attractions, not least of which the many colleges, we spend the day here. We meet our guide for a tour of Cambridge ending with a visit to the American Cemetery.
Afterwards we have chance to explore the city fully and obtain lunch before we leave.
• DAY THREE
Our first stop today is in the city of Ely. Here you have chance to visit the magnificent Cathedral or take a stroll around the town. From Ely we head for Bury St Edmunds with its famous Abbey Gardens, connections with Dickens and The Nutshell, reputedly the smallest pub in the country.
• DAY FOUR
After a leisurely breakfast today we travel south to visit the Roman City of St Albans. At the city’s historic core, you will find the magnificent Cathedral – dating back to 1077, well worth a visit. We have time to explore and obtain lunch.
• DAY FIVE
After breakfast we leave and begin our journey home.

Day 4:
Malzards O'Grady Pub Experience & Kilkenny
We celebrate with storytelling, live music, dancing, hurling and pint pulling at Malzards O'Grady Pub
experience with a traditional lunch before enjoying free time in Kilkenny.

Day 1 Overnight Glasgow area
Day 2 West Highlands & to Skye
Along the shores of Loch Lomond, “The Queen of Lochs”. Then Glencoe “The Weeping Glen”. Free time in Fort William. After lunch, along the Great Glen with loch & mountain scenery all the way. Stop for photos at Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most photographed castles, before reaching your Skye hotel for 1 night. (c230miles).
Day 3 Isle of Skye, Loch Maree & Ullapool
This morning we tour Skye, stopping in Portree, the island’s colourful capital, before turning northwards into the vast region of Wester Ross. Along the shores of Loch Maree, regarded as one of Scotland’s bonniest lochs. Time free to take in the Highland air in Gairloch with its pretty harbour. From here the drive snakes its way along the coastline, dotted with islands, inlets, beaches and cliff s before descending into the picture-perfect harbour town of Ullapool. (150 miles).
Day 4 Caithness & Sutherland on Route 500
Todays’ tour makes up a large part of the North Coast 500, and will leave a lasting memory too. Mile upon mile of crumbling cliff s, sheer rocky headlands, picturesque lochs, sheltered bays & deserted perfect white beaches to rival those abroad. It is here you will feel Scotland in an entirely different way – its’ not all about tartan and bagpipes! Included is lunch at Smoo Cave Hotel, Durness Arrive Thurso for 2 nights. (140 miles).
Day 5 Castle of Mey & The Orkney Isles
At John O’ Groats, board the 40-minute crossing across the Pentland Firth, a graveyard for many a ship. On arrival, a private coach and experienced driver/guide awaits to commence a magical day on the Orkneys.
Returning to John O’Groats and your hotel. (30 miles)
. Day 6 Inverness & Pitlochry.
The coastal road between Wick and Inverness passes many interesting places -historical Helmsdale, white sands at Brora & fairy-tale Dunrobin Castle. Time free in the Highland capital Inverness, before continuing through the Spey Valley then over the Drumochter Pass and into Perthshire for your final night’s stay

This morning we travel west to the popular holiday resort of Tenby. With the old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore and superb beaches, Tenby is South West Wales’s main holiday resort and is always a pleasant and friendly place to visit. We have time for lunch in Tenby before we are on our way to Picton Castle and Woodland Garden. Regarded as Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home and gardens.
Today we have a leisurely breakfast and free time to explore Carmarthen.
Today our excursion takes us to St Bride’s Bay and Newgale Sands to the magical place of St. David’s, birthplace of the patron saint of Wales. St. David’s has a beautiful Cathedral, the smallest in Great Britain, well worth a visit. From St. David’s we head around the Preseli Mountains back to hotel.
After breakfast we leave and begin our journey to North Wales our second hotel –
Beaufort park hotel, Mold. 3 nights – dinner, bed and breakfast, stopping off on the way for lunch and arriving in the afternoon for our second destination.
We have an early start and head for time in Llanberis, in the shadow of Mount Snowdon. After a break we head for to Beaumaris, a delightful village on the shore of the Isle of Anglesey. We have time for lunch here before our afternoon boat trip to Puffin Island with wildlife and seal colonies.
Today’s excursion takes us through some lovely Welsh scenery, including the spectacular Horseshoe Pass, to the Dee Valley where we join the Rheilfford Llangollen Railway for a journey on a nostalgic steam train from Carrogg to Llangollen and also take a ride on the ‘Stream in the Sky’- the Llangollen Canal - gliding gently along over the country’s biggest navigable viaduct.
• DAY EIGHT
After breakfast we leave and begin our journey home.
