Monday:- Lochs & Whisky Galore-
See Perthshire’s Autumn glory visiting Queen Victoria’s view at Loch Tummel, then into the purple clad Highlands, along the shoreline of Loch Tay and the rustic woodlands by Loch Earn. Stop in Crieff with a guided tour and 2 tastings of The Glenturret at the world’s oldest distillery.
Tuesday:- Glamis Castle & Gardens & The Enchanted Forest.
Today we visit the childhood home of the Queen Mother.
Admire the stunning architecture and furnishings of Glamis, regarded as Scotland’s prettiest castle, dating back to the 14th century. Time to appreciate the extensive gardens in all their autumn colours by strolling the various pathways and nature trails.
After dinner, hop on to the provided coach outside the Fishers Hotel for a unique experience of sound & light shows using Faskally Forest as a natural backdrop. Attracting over 80,000 visitors each year, it promises to be a spectacle like no other. World renowned & winner of the UK’s best cultural event, The Enchanted Forest has been dazzling audiences with its pioneering sound and light shows set against magical Autumn woodland.
** Suitable footwear and warm clothing is recommended at the Enchanted Forest. All pathways are lit, walking gradient easy. Unsuitable for those with walking difficulties.
Wednesday-St Andrews & Victoria & Albert Museum
By-passing Perth, the day starts in the ancient university town of St Andrews, with its Royal connections and is the home of golf. The town is full of character with boutique shops & alleyways. Take a stroll on the expansive beach or on to the Old Course. After lunch we travel over the Tay Bridge to the city of Dundee. We have free time to explore the city’s waterfront with the V&A Museum and R R S Discovery amongst some of the attractions to visit.
Thursday-we depart our lovely surroundings and head home stopping at a place of interest en-route.
